Price Offer:
All our buy prices are available online, and the price is fixed once we have received the item. If you cannot find the item you wish to sell, then there is a high chance that we do not catalogue it. If so, we will purchase your metals at a reduced price. We reserve the right to buy your metals at the prices advertised if they are not suitable for resale.
Gold:
- ALL uncatalogued bars are bought at -2% below spot.
- ALL uncatalogued British coins are bought at -1% below spot.
- ALL uncatalogued international coins are bought at -2% below spot.
Any bars or coins that are unsuitable for resale will be bought at -3%.
Silver:
- ALL uncatalogued bars are bought at -5% below spot.
- ALL uncatalogued British coins are bought at -2% below spot.
- ALL uncatalogued bars international coins are bought at -5% below spot.
Any bars or coins that are unsuitable for resale will be bought at -10%.
Required Information:
For transactions:
· Over £8,000 in a year or £5,000 in a single transaction require a government-issued photograph ID and proof of address.
· Over £50,000, we may require some further information. Please get in contact with us if you expect your sale of metals to exceed this amount.

Would I need to pay CGT on my purchase?
Capital Gains Tax (CGT) is a tax on the profit when you sell something that’s increased in value. This has to be paid from any profit you make that is larger than the yearly allowance of £3,000 (HMRC.)
All coins produced by the Royal Mint that qualify as British legal currency are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.

What payment options do you accept?
Tavex accepts the following payment methods for online orders:

We accept Visa and Mastercard as forms of payment, however, unfortunately we are unable to accept American Express credit cards. We are also unable to accept cash or personal cheques. Please note that the payer and the recipient of goods must be the same person.
Please be advised that if you make a bank transfer at the weekend or on a Bank/Public Holiday then it will not be reconciled until the following working day.

Orders are dispatched only after the funds have been cleared.
Does Tavex offer special prices for resellers?

Is delivery outside the United Kingdom possible?

Which product should I choose?
Bullion is typically classified into two categories, namely bars and coins. A common question that people often have before purchasing bullion is which product is the right one for them. To provide some assistance, there are some important factors to consider when choosing the right product: the lowest price per gram, the global traceability of the product, and the different sizes and values of the product.
In general, larger products tend to have lower margins, so it is recommended to buy a larger quantity of gold at once rather than smaller amounts more frequently. For example, it is advisable to purchase a 10g Gold Bullion Bar once instead of 10 x 1g Gold Bullion Bars. That is due to the cost of minting a bar remaining constant, regardless of the gold price. However, what varies is the price of the minting process compared to the current market price of gold. Furthermore, when selling, the price of gold is always a bit under the spot price, therefore, the closer to the spot price you purchase gold the better.

How will my item(s) be delivered?
1. Delivery
1.1 After we have received your payment and verification, if necessary, we will despatch your order within 24 hours on weekdays. Delivery time is usually within 24 hours from the point of despatch. We are not liable for exceptions to this service or delays caused by industrial action or unforeseen circumstance, e.g., severe weather conditions.
1.2 For all domestic orders below £50,000 we will ship your item(s) using Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm. Parcels will be charged at £5 each. For orders between £10,000-£50,000 we will ship your items in separate parcels of no more than £10,000 each.
1.3 For all domestic orders below £50,000 and over 10kg we will ship your item(s) using Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For. Parcels will be charged at £7.50 each. For orders between £10,000-£50,000 we will ship your items in separate parcels of no more than £10,000 each.
1.4 For all domestic orders over £50,000 we will organise a personalised courier service. Please select ‘self-pick-up from office’ when checking out. Prices vary based on location. We will contact you via email or phone to organise logistics.
2. Pick-up
2.1 You are welcome to come and claim your goods in person once you have paid. Please bring a valid photograph ID so that we can verify your identity.
2.2 Please take into consideration that the client, the payer and the recipient must be the same person.
3. Insurance
3.1 The package is always fully insured, and in the extremely unlikely case that the package is lost during delivery, we will re-ship the items or refund your money.
3.2 Please be advised that if you believe your items to have been damaged, we will require photographic evidence in order to submit a claim to the courier. The investigation can take up to 2 months, depending on the circumstances.
4. Packaging
4.1 The products are encased in protective wrapping and placed in a discreet, unbranded padded envelope.
5. Shipment Tracking
5.1 Once the products have been packaged you will receive a tracking number to the email you enter during the purchase process. If you placed your order by 3pm and have not received your tracking number by 6pm the same day, please get in contact with our customer support. 6. Delays
