Social Media Executive

We’re Tavex, one of Europe’s largest precious metals dealers and currency exchange providers operating across 14 countries. Our United Kingdom operation has been running for 5 years, doubling our revenue every year, today turning over £85M annually with a lean, high-performing team. We’ve built something strong, now we’re scaling.

Whats Happening

We are at a genuinely exciting point in our marketing journey. The foundations are being laid, the strategy is set, and we are in the process of turning the bullion industry on its head. This is not a business doing things the way they have always been done. We are blending traditional and non-traditional marketing in a way the industry has not seen before, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of building that from the ground up.

What we need is someone who understands that great marketing is built brick by brick. The role will have its admin-heavy and methodical moments, and we will not pretend otherwise but there will also be some incredibly exciting opportunities to take our social media accounts to the next level! If you are a person who can stay focused and motivated through that groundwork but also has some amazing out of the box ideas – keep reading !

What we are looking for

We are looking for a hands-on and creative Social Media Executive to join our marketing team. The successful candidate will manage our day-to-day social media output, produce short-form video content, and support the wider digital marketing function. This is a junior, execution-focused role suited to someone early in their career who is genuinely passionate about social media and understands what good content looks like. You will report to our Digital Marketing Manager and work alongside them with some digital tasks too. A crucial part of the role will also include performing marketing administration tasks to help us build foundations for future marketing strategies.

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan and schedule regular content across multiple social platforms, with the aim of growing our organic following and keeping channels active and consistent
  • Film and edit short-form video content including Reels and TikToks, either on camera or behind it
  • Write captions and blog posts from briefs provided, incorporating keywords from our digital marketing findings to support SEO performance
  • Carry out basic website updates via our CMS, including product listings and general content changes
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all digital touchpoints
  • Track and report on social media performance, using platform insights to inform future content decisions
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, taking clear direction and delivering to brief without needing to set strategy independently
  • Carry out marketing administration task to contribute to a wider marketing strategy
  • Help the business with miscellaneous tasks they may sit outside of the social media role when necessary

Experience we’d value

  • 1-2 years experience in a social media, content, or digital marketing role, whether professional or demonstrable through personal channels
  • Strong copywriting skills with a natural feel for captions, tone of voice, and blog-style content
  • Comfortable filming and editing short-form video content to a good standard
  • Familiar with social media scheduling and analytics tools
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage several tasks at once without dropping the detail
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field is a bonus, though we are happy to consider candidates who can demonstrate the right skills and attitude regardless of formal education.
  • Knowledge of the precious metals or luxury goods industry is desirable but not required
  • Ability to stick to strict deadlines and efficiently manage work load
  • Expert attention to detail

This role is a great fit for someone who wants to grow within a specialist industry, take real ownership of a brand’s social presence, and develop their digital marketing skills in a supportive team environment.
